Why we use capacitor in ceiling fan?

 A capacitor is a conductor which store electrical charge and supply its once. In other hand," it is a electrcal device which store energy or charge in the form of electric charge in the conductor". It consist of two conducting sepeeating plate seperated by an insulating material called the dielectric material. The capacity or ablity to hold electrical charge is called capacitance. 


Unit of capacitor:-

The unit of capacitor is "farad"(F). A capacitor is independent from charge and voltage. But, it depends upon the dimension and property of medium. 


Why we use capacitor in ceiling fan?

There is a requirement of starting capacitor in the signal phase motor celling fan, because capacitor convert single phase into two phase power supply for continuously movement of the motor. The working of capacitor in the motor is that its lead the current from the voltage. And, the store energy in it. 


It is also use to convert alternative magnetic field into rotating magnetic field.

Why we use capacitor in ceiling fan?


This is the circuit diagram of the celling fan in which there is two winding which are starting winding and running winding. The capacitor working on the celling fan in the presence of two winding Which result in a uniderction magnetic flux torque to rotate the motor rotor. Both, the winding are connecting in parallel and capacitor is connected series to the starting winding.
