difference between flat plate battery and tubular battery

difference between flat plate battery and tubular battery

First of all, we understand about what is battery then we going to our conclusion. So, let start -

Define battery?

A battery is a device which is used to store energy for a long period of time. Its also define as " It is a device which convert chemical energy into electrical energy. There are two terminal in a battery that is positive and negative terminal.

Construction of battery:-

Basically, the battery is made up of three types of component theory are:-
1.Anode
2. Cathode
3. Electrode

When a battery is connected to the circuit. A chemical reaction occur between an anode and electrode, this reaction produce an electron are called oxidation. At the same time another chemical reaction occur between cathode and electrolyte this reaction were make extra electron, this reaction is called reduction. Then, electron moves from oxidation to reduction side.

When the active material (Electrolytic) to the battery is over, they don't conduct reaction so, it called Dead battery.

difference between flat plate battery and tubular battery

The difference between flat plate battery and tubular battery are express in following point are:-

1. The electrode of flat plate battery is of 'plate' but tubular battery electrode is 'tube'.
2. The life of flat plate battery is average 3 year but tubular battery life is 5 year.
3. The water requirement in a flat plate battery is more than as compared to tubular battery.
4. The cycle of tubular battery is more than the cycle of flat plate battery.
5. We cannot use flat plate battery as heavy load but tubular battery can easily handle heavy load.
6. The charging speed of flat plate battery is less than tubular battery.
7. Flat plate battery as used for starting any machine or device so it is called starting battery but tubular battery is regular battery which is easily handle heavy load.
8. The cost of flat plate battery is less than tubular battery.
